The World Wildlife Fund (WWF), now officially called the World Wide Fund for Nature, only in the United States and Canada has the old name) is an international non-governmental organization working in the fields concerning conservation, research and restoration of the environment. It is the world’s largest independent environmental organization with more than 5 million supporters around the world , operating in more than 100 countries, supporting around 1,300 environmental projects around the world.
The mission of the World Wildlife Fund is to prevent the growing degradation of the planet’s natural environment and to achieve harmony between man and nature. The main goal is to preserve the biological diversity of the Earth.
